Join the 34 artist-run galleries as they showcase the artwork of emerging artists and provide a sample of the types of art projects and performances that commonly in apartment spaces all over Chicago. Law Office will make sure the event runs smoothly with their fully stocked VIP room. NFA Space inaugurates the exhibition with a 2-hour performance including a ceremonial procession and live acoustic bluegrass accompaniment. This medley heralds the unruly spirit of art and art-making in Chicago while lamenting the fact that “you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone”.
At the opening, 1/Quarterly will discuss and launch it’s month-long Photo Scavenger Hunt competition that spans the city and offers awesome prizes. The competition is free and open to all ages. Participants will be judged on the creativity of their digital photographs of the hunted object as well as getting the correct objects.
